Cook Agreement

Your responsibilities

You hold a current MEHKO permit for the county where you cook and will upload proof before your first drop goes live.

You follow California AB 626 limits: no more than 30 meals per day, 60 per week, $100k annual revenue.

You prepare, package, and store food in the kitchen listed on your permit.

You disclose allergens honestly. You respond to customer messages within the pickup window.

Fees

Silo charges a 12 percent platform fee on each order, taken from the customer total. You keep the remainder minus Stripe processing (2.9 percent + 30 cents).

Payouts arrive 2 business days after pickup via Stripe Connect.

Refund tiers

• Customer cancels 2+ hours before pickup: full refund, no fee to you.
• Customer cancels less than 2 hours before: 50 percent kept by cook, 50 percent refunded.
• Drop cancels for low demand: full refund to customer, no fee to you.
• Cook cancels after confirmation: full refund + $5 customer credit charged to cook.

Suspension

We may suspend your account for expired permits, repeated late pickups, confirmed food safety complaints, or violations of the Terms of Service.
