Who we are
Silo is a marketplace connecting customers with MEHKO-permitted home kitchens, food trucks, and street vendors. Silo is not a restaurant, kitchen, or food producer. Cooks operate independently and are responsible for the food they make.
Using Silo
You must be 18 or older. You will not use Silo to commit fraud, harass other users, impersonate someone, or violate food safety law.
You will not post content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes someone else's rights. We can remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Orders and refunds
When you claim a drop, your card is pre-authorized. The charge is captured when the cook confirms the batch. Refund tiers are in the Cook Agreement.
Pickup is customer-responsibility. If you do not pick up during the window, the order is marked no-show and not refunded.
Food safety
Cooks must hold a current MEHKO permit for their county. Silo verifies permits before a cook's first drop and re-verifies periodically.
If you have a foodborne illness you believe came from a Silo drop, contact us within 48 hours and your local health department (LA County Environmental Health: 888-700-9995).
Liability
Silo provides the platform, not the food. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Silo is not liable for disputes between customers and cooks, food quality, or allergen handling. The cook is the seller of record.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown in-app before they apply to you.
